KAP officials make Dauphin tour stop

KAP officials, including president Dan Mazier, were in Dauphin last week as part of a tour of the northernmost growing regions of Manitoba.
“Across Manitoba, farmers are telling me that we need less complicated regulations paired with provincial and municipal drain maintenance programs if we are going to be able to prevent flooding on farms and create healthier ecological systems,” Mazier said.
“The community leaders and farmers involved in BASIC are showing leadership in developing a model that we may want to see expanded to other watersheds.”
Locally the group met with hemp and quinoa producers and held meetings with local KAP district committee members.
