Hazardous waste collection set

Dauphinites have an opportunity to get unsafe items out of their homes.
The 2017 Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for Sept. 18, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dauphin Public Works Shop on Jackson Street.
Dauphinites are invited to drop off any items identified as flammable, corrosive, reactive or poisonous.
For example, accepted items are old paint, paint strippers, used oil, antifreeze, household cleaners, toilet and drain cleaners, acids, pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, furniture polishes, batteries or solvents.
