City looks for help funding water, wastewaterprojects

The City of Dauphin has forwarded a list of projects it would like help in funding to the Manitoba Water Services Board.
At the top of that list is a $13 million expansion of the city’s lagoon system it has been trying to get accomplished for some time now,
“We applied a couple of years ago for the infrastructure fund through the feds and through the province. We were passed over on both occasions saying that we weren’t ready,” said Bill  Brenner, Dauphin’s director of Public Works and Operations.
“And we are ready to go. We have the plans done, we have our Environmental Act approval in place. We are ready to go. We might look at a couple of things right now in the design, but all we need is the funding, really.
