MRI timeline announced

The long-awaited magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine for Dauphin Regional Health Centre is expected to be in place this fall.
It was announced last week that the MRI should be operational by the end of October.
“Based on the project plan with the construction to complete the work to finish the building, and to have the MIR manufactured in Germany and shipped over, then the current date that we’re looking at to be clinically operational is somewhere around the end of October or the early part of November of this year,” said Peter Kresta, chief operating officer, Diagnostic Services with Shared Health.
