Candy drive to benefit children of Churchill

With the rail line to Churchill still not repaired, Angie Smith is thinking about the children up there and how they will celebrate Halloween.
As a result, Smith will be collecting donations of candy in the community, to ship to Churchill again this year.
“I started this initiative last year,” she explained.
“When my brother Dale Demeulles told me a lot of the townsfolk were very depressed and trying to make a decision between food or candy, because the cost of food was so high and they really couldn’t afford either because of the rail line crises in Churchill.”
