Snowshoes can take you to winter wonderlands


Winters in Manitoba’s Parkland can be harsh and unforgiving. But they can also reveal a real beauty in the landscape for those motivated enough to go looking.
And when the accumulation of winter snows makes moving around difficult, the best way to get out and conquer the terrain is on a pair of snowshoes.
What thousands of years ago began as an essential mode of winter transportation has evolved into a popular recreational activity.
And the Parkland has some of the finest terrain for the winter sport. From the Riding Mountains in the south to the Duck Mountains in the north and everything in between, the Dauphin area boasts the most scenic winter vistas Manitoba has to offer.
