Green Team funding increase does not change City’s plans

The Manitoba government is nearly doubling its 2019 investment in the Green Team program providing up to $10 million.
However, the extra money in the program which supports community organizations, municipalities and provincial parks, is not changing the City of Dauphin’s plans this summer, said city manager Sharla Griffiths.
“Right now we applied for our usual number of Green Team members,” Griffiths said, adding the province is reviewing applications to ensure that approved positions comply with the province’s social distancing rules.
