Police make arrests following search


A Dauphin man is in custody facing several charges following the execution of a search warrant at a rural property, last week.
On July 2 at approximately 4 p.m., the RCMP West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team, along with Dauphin RCMP, executed a search warrant in the Rural Municipality of Dauphin.
While conducting a search of the property, a vehicle which had been reported stolen from the City of Dauphin, was recovered.
Officers also seized approximately 30 grams of cocaine, cannabis, ammunition and bear spray.
Josiah Jayden Yury, 24, was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of packaging materials used to traffic a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime and three counts of failing to comply with a court order.
RCMP continue to investigate.
The Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team focuses on intelligence-based investigations into drugs, rural property crime and serious, prolific offenders within communities.
