The Dauphin Kings have been busy signing prospects ahead of training camp this fall.
The first player signed is Dauphin native Bradyn Smelski, who played 42 games with the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s Parkland Rangers last season.
Smelski was third in team scoring with 39 points, including 15 goals and was the team captain.
“Bradyn is a versatile two-way forward that provides some grit and will chip in offensively. He’s a well known player in our room and very familiar with our program,” said Kings head coach and general manager Marc Berry.
Smelski is fulfilling a childhood dream by joining the Kings.
“It was a childhood dream of mine and now it’s become a reality. I’m honoured to be a part of this team and excited to get things started this season,” he said.
The second player signed brings some offensive upside, as well as size to the Kings.
