Parkland well represented at rugby westerns

Four Parkland players will suit up for Manitoba’s U18 men’s rugby team at the 2018 Western Canadian Championships (WCC), which runs, Aug., 9 to 12 in Winnipeg.
Brayden Tomchuk and Branden McCrady of Dauphin, Zane Brindle of Ste. Rose and Logan Conrad of McCreary were all selected to represent the province at the inaugural WCC, which will be held at Maple Grove Rugby Park.
Manitoba head coach Sean Erickson of Brandon has known the four players for a few years, as they have been working with Rugby Manitoba’s high performance program. He said it was their work ethic which caught his eye.
“I think that goes on and off the field, because of the work they’ve done on the field and the work they’ve done off to make them better athletes,” he said.
