Parkland Market explored as outlet for local artisans

Dauphin may soon be home to a unique market, as local business owners Joe Houston and Jamie Derhak are co-ordinating a Parkland Market.
“Specifically, we’re looking to provide a place for creators of any kind, whether that be a baker, a farmer, or a local producer, an artist, a photographer. If you create it or you facilitate it’s growth, we want you there,” Houston said.
“So it’s going to be a market exclusively of people and things created locally.”
An information meeting is set for 6 p.m. at City Hall, Oct. 10, he said, to discuss the potential of a regular market experience.
