The Dauphin Clippers hockey team extended its winning streak to 19 in a row this past weekend and remain in a battle for first place overall in the Westman High School Hockey League.
Bryce Bonnett scored twice as the Clippers sailed past a shorthanded Virden Golden Bears squad, 6-3, Friday in Dauphin.
Brayden Broome, Brock Allard, Noah Wiens and Jesse Koshowski had the other Dauphin goals and Bode Childs earned the win in goal.
Jeremy Larway had all three Virden goals and Eric Reid took the loss as the Golden Bears dressed just 11 skaters for the game.
On Sunday in Dauphin, Broome was in on all four Dauphin goals, scoring once and adding three assists to lead the Clippers to a 4-2 win over the winless Vincent Massey Vikings (0-21-1-0).
