Chamber promises bigger and better Street Fair and Dance

It may be a little bit bigger and a little bit better than previous years, but the annual Dauphin and District Chamber of Commerce (DDCC) Street Fair and Dance promises to be a lot of fun, Aug. 1.
“We just have more vendors, more merchants, more food options for everybody to enjoy. We have the stage full of entertainment from 10 a.m. till midnight, with some new acts that people haven’t seen on a street fair stage before, so I’m really excited to bring that out,” DDCC executive director Stephen Chychota explained.
According to Chychota, the street fair was a tradition from Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival, which DDCC began co-ordinating about 19 years ago.
It has grown from one street, he said, to two blocks of Main Street and a block on each side of an intersection.
