Work ethic key to turning around after 1-5 start

It is hard to imagine anyone would have predicted the Dauphin Kings would get off to a 1-5 start in the 2019-20 Manitoba Junior Hockey League season, but that is exactly what has happened.
Three losses last week has extended Dauphin’s losing streak to four games, two of them coming at the Showcase in Winnipeg.
The Swan Valley Stampeders scored two goals 14 seconds apart in the first three minutes of the game and hung on for a 3-2 win at the Seven Oaks Sportsplex in Winnipeg, Sept. 30.
The next night saw the Kings play their worst game of the season, according to head coach and general manager Doug Hedley, resulting in a 5-0 loss at the hands of the Selkirk Steelers.
Despite a better effort on Friday in Dauphin, the Kings suffered their fourth loss in a row, this one a 3-1 setback to the Portage Terriers.

This week's Dauphin Herald has more on what the Kings need to do to turn their season around.
