Church, Canadian Foodgrains Bank partner for dinner and a movie


Dauphin First United Church is serving up supper and a short, Nov. 21.
In partnership with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB), Common Strength, a short documentary will be screened after supper.
Gordon Janzen, CFGB regional representative in Manitoba explained the 23-minute documentary focuses on the experience of a female farmer in Manitoba and a female farmer in Kenya.
Colleen Dyck from Niverville was selected from applicants from across Canada to have a week of interaction with Kenyan farmer Lucy Anyango for the film produced by CFGB, he said.
