Countryfest announces first wave of entertainers

Dauphin’s Countryfest has announced its lineup for 2020 and the weekend features a showcase of country stars of today, with a throwback to some of the greatest legends in the industry.
Dauphin’s Countryfest returns, July 2 to 5, and tickets go on sale, Nov. 18.
The Thursday Kickoff Party, July 2, sets the tone of the weekend with Canadian troubadour Corb Lund and his unique brand of rockabilly honkytonk.
Friday features well-loved Canadian artists, Jade Eagleson and James Barker Band, along with chart-toppers Dallas Smith and Dean Brody on the Club Regent Casino and Events Centre Main Stage.
The Saturday lineup is a non-stop party, with the Hunter Brothers, hosted by one of the greatest showmen in country music history, Big and Rich.
Also taking the stage is Morgan Wallen and Chris Young, who will close out the night with a bang.
Throwback Sunday, July 5, is hosted by Dauphin favourite, Jason McCoy and will include the traditional country music of Joe Diffie, John Michael Montgomery and Trace Adkins.
Woodstock-veteran and legendary singer-songwriter John Fogerty wraps up Canada’s longest-running independent country music festival with anthems from his iconic career spanning the Creedence Clearwater Revival era to his thriving solo career of today.
