Christmas hamper program a go, as intake is completed

The numbers are in and the Dauphin Christmas Hamper program is preparing for 221 family hampers this year.
Co-ordinator Robin Gambler noted numbers are slightly lower than last year, by less than 15 families, which she attributed to children aging out or families moving to another community.
“Or maybe they just don’t need it this year. That would be amazing if that could happen,” Gambler added.
With a final tally, the group is busy collecting food, she said, for example, the hams, turkeys and chickens have all been purchased.
