Too soon for Countryfest organizers to start making the hard decisions

While there might come a time when the COVID-19 pandemic will cause Dauphin’s Countryfest to join a seemingly endless list of cancelled events, it has not yet arrived.
“We’re just status quo right now. The festival is a long ways away, you know, it’s the first weekend in July and we’re still planning on going ahead,” Countryfest promoter Rob Woloschuk said.
While entertainment acts have been cancelling individual shows and tours across the world, Woloschuk said none of the acts booked for the July 2 to 5 festival at Selo Ukraina have indicated they will not be attending.
“We haven’t had any conversations with any acts that are considering that at all,” he said.
