Pedestrian killed in collision, charges laid against driver


A 36-year-old man is dead and 27-year-old woman is in police custody following a vehicle-pedestrian accident in Ebb and Flow First Nation, last Thursday.
On Apr. 16, at 6:35 a.m., Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Lake Road NE, approximately three kilometres east of PR 278, in the Ebb and Flow First Nation.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located the victim from Ebb and Flow, on the roadway. He appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect vehicle had stopped a short distance away.
The driver, a woman from Ebb and Flow, was arrested for impaired driving causing death and remains in police custody.
