MVSD contributes to computer program

Mountain View School Division (MVSD) is helping its students by helping the Northwest Métis Council.
MVSD provided the council with a donation of $1,000 from its Indigenous Academic Achievement Grants to provide computers and laptops with scanners to families in need.
“This is money earmarked from the province to support indigenous learners,” MVSD superintendent/CEO Dan Ward said, adding the money is normally expended to help support its Indigenous Education facilitator and youth worker, as well as to facilitate groups and initiatives at the school level with an emphasis on indigenous education such as the Elders in the School program.
