Murder suspect located by Whitehorse Major Crimes Unit


A man wanted in connection with a stabbing in Dauphin has been arrested.
A Canadawide arrest warrant had been issued for Nicholas Ryan-McKinnon for second degree murder and aggravated assault charges following a fatal stabbing in the city on the morning of Aug. 15
On Aug. 19, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Ryan-McKinnon was located and arrested by members of the RCMP Whitehorse Major Crimes Unit and Crime Reduction Unit.
Whitehorse RCMP was working closely with the Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services to find and locate Ryan-McKinnon, after it was learned that he had fled Manitoba and was headed towards Whitehorse.
The process to return Ryan-McKinnon to Manitoba has been started.
Manitoba RCMP would like to thank the Whitehorse RCMP, British-Columbia RCMP, the media and the public for their assistance in locating Ryan-McKinnon.
