Numerous Charges Laid During Raid Of City Residence


Two Dauphin residents are fascing numerous charges following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a city residence last week.

Katie Schabler, 41, and 26-year-old Germaine Beaulieu were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of trafficking paraphernalia and several firearm-related offences.

On Apr. 28, the Manitoba West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), along with assistance from officers from the Dauphin Detachment, executed a search warrant at a residence located on 4th Avenue SE.

The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 60 grams of cocaine, numerous illicit pills, cash, a firearm and drug related paraphernalia.

Schabler was later released to appear in court at a later date, while Beaulieu was remanded into custody and scheduled to appear in Dauphin Provincial Court the next day.
RCMP continue to investigate.
