Students Celebrating Long-awaited Playground At Ethelbert School

img

Much to the delight and excitement of all the students at Ethelbert School, construction for our new play structure began, June 10.

We had fund-raised and waited for this moment for a long time.

Thank you to the Municipality of Ethelbert for taking down and removing our old structure, and preparing the site for our new playground. A special thank you to Roger Stratuliak for coming back out in the evening.

A big thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers who spent a very long day assembling the structure - Shawn Dudar, Derek Fletcher, Paul and Sandy Coffey, Sandy Hafenbrak and Cory Armstrong. We also had some students whose labour was greatly appreciated - Dylan Semeniuk, Matthew Lambert, Carson Lowen, Jayden Carrick and Levi Williamson.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who donated money and supported our fund-raisers over the last few years in order to help make this project possible. We received a number of donations in memory of the late Anne Sadowy.

This new playground will be a huge asset to not only the school, but to the community as a whole.

Thank you again to all those who played a part in making this happen.
